Screening
- PSA (prostate
specific antigen) - level greater than 4.0 ng/ml is "abnormal"
- Age adjustment
- PSA levels reduced with 5-alpha reductase inhibitor
- PSA increases 0.75 ng/ml per year
- Stop screening when life expectancy is less than 10 years
